9 years ago today we held our first church service at George Hotel. It has indeed been 9 years of God’s favour, blessings and help; planted a parish (Perth City Tabernacle) in 2011; moved from George Hotel to 28 York Place (2011), from 28 York Place to Leith Academy (2011), and from Leith Academy to our own permanent place of worship 41-42 Inverleith Gardens (2014) -ours is the story of Isaac – “One day, as Isaac’s servants were digging in the valley, they came on a well of spring water. The shepherds of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s shepherds, claiming, “This water is ours.” So Isaac named the well Esek (Quarrel) because they quarreled over it. They dug another well and there was a difference over that one also, so he named it Sitnah (Accusation). He went on from there and dug yet another well. But there was no fighting over this one so he named it Rehoboth (Wide-Open Spaces), saying, “Now GOD has given us plenty of space to spread out in the land.” [Genesis 26:19-23 MSG].
To the great men and women [Pst Taiwo Ogunsami, Dr Tayo Onafowokan, Eniola Onafowokan (Olabajo), Dr Zoe Ejebu (Gbahi), Dr Uchechi Dibiaezue (Uche), Agnes Dadirai, Dr Ibifaa Iyalla] the Lord used to start this work, I salute you, may the Lord remember your labour of love in His vineyard and reward your richly. Am sure you all remember the evangelism in all weather (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter), the lodging in all manner of places (the good, the bad, the manageable), the KFC on Nicholson (that we could easily have been shareholders for the level our patronage), and many more that space and time won’t permit.
To the past and current Members, Workers and Ministers of RCCG Edinburgh Tabernacle I thank you for your dedication and commitment to the Lord’s work – you will not lose your reward.
And to all our friends thanks for your support and prayers.
To our God and King we say:
You deserve the glory and the honor
Lord we, lift our hands in worship
As we praise your Holy name (Repeat)
For You are great
You do miracles so great
There is no one else like You
There is no one else like You (Repeat)
Yours in His Vineyard,
